The Perfect Place to Have a Party: Country Tavern Private Dining Rooms


The comfortable, warm ambience at the Country Tavern makes this one of Southern New Hampshire’s most popular choices for family celebrations, company meetings, wedding rehearsal dinners, private parties, bridal and baby showers and group gatherings. The restaurant offers private dining rooms and casual entertaining space for all types of events.

We offer flexible seating options for groups of 10 or more. The main house can host a party of up to 75 guests in the East and West Dining Rooms.

The Loft can accommodate a maximum of 40 to 60 guests (dependent on the menu) any day of the week, from breakfast through late-night desserts. Free WiFi is available for meetings and presentations. Crowd-pleasing menu selections are created using fresh local ingredients.

The Loft for up to 40 to 60 guests

The Loft at the Country Tavern was renovated in September of 2013 in order to create a cozy lounge atmosphere complete with leather furniture, tables, lamps, etc. When the loft is used for a cocktail & passed Hors d'oeuvres event, the room will accomodate a maximum of 60 guests. If meal service is desired, the room will accomodate a maximum of 40-44 guests. Space needed for a buffet, gift table, etc. may reduce these numbers. Any size group may reserve the Loft. Call for pricing. Keep in mind the Loft does require one set of stairs to reach - it is not handicapped accessible.

East & West Private Dining Rooms for up to 40 guests

If your group has 40 guests or less, you may prefer to use one of our main-floor rooms - the East or West Dining Rooms. Space needed for a buffet, gift table, etc. will reduce this number to near 30. The main floor is handicapped accessible. Call for pricing.

Bridal and Baby Showers

The Country Tavern is the perfect place for your Bridal or Baby Shower. Sunday breakfast buffets are the most popular option for these events. On Saturdays you can choose from any of our luncheon buffet options. We offer a choice of three private dining rooms for your shower.

Brunch Functions

On Sundays our Breakfast buffet is set up in the Tack Room on the main floor. This allows for extra space in your selected Function Room.

Tips for Hosting your Shower

The best time to start your shower is between 10 a.m. and Noon. Showers typically run about 3 hours. If a surprise is in order, schedule your guests a ½ hour prior to the guest of honor’s arrival. They can enjoy a cup of coffee while they await the guest of honor. On Sundays, our buffet is served until 2 p.m. but groups are welcome to stay beyond this time for opening of gifts/etc. Arrangements can most often be made to access and decorate a private room the morning of your event.
